Design Path

ENTRANCE FEATURE London Design Festival 2016

‘Design Path’ combines bespoke colours to reinvent the herringbone pattern with movements found in nature. Visitors walk over and along the ‘Design Path’ as they enter the exhibition, playing on the show theme of ‘immerse’ and the creative process designers take. The colour pallet used pays homage to the variety of shades found within water in motion - the garnet red pieces eluding to unexpected shades created by reflections of surroundings. The walkway consists of 943 pieces of European oak intricately woven into the iconic herringbone style which comes to form wavelets across the floor. The variations of natural wood colours used create a sense of depth and shade as visitors walk along their way into the show.
